MARISOL APOSTOL
Teacher
Marisol’s dancing is all about “juerga.” Her dancing vibrant and earthy, is the embodiment of fun, wholesome, and in the moment as she connects with the singer and musicians.
Her classes are energetic, earthy, and fun while working on the essence of Flamenco in order to develop clear footwork, and self expression. Emphasis is given to posture, braceo & floreo (arms & hands) marking, basic footwork, palmas, jaleos, rhythm, cante-guitar-dance relationship awareness, body movement isolation, and an earthy presence.
Currently, she is studying flamenco cante from varios singers to develop her understanding of musicality and melody, as well as the importance of cante in the improvisation of dance.
Sol began her flamenco studies with Yaelisa in 1989. Since then, She has embraced Flamenco through many classes and workshops from local and visiting flamenco artists such as Farruquito, Juana Amaya, Domingo Ortega, Maria del Mar Moreno, Cihtli Ocampo & Ethan Margolis, Oscar Nieto, La Chacha, Sara Olivar, Carola Zertuche, Luis Pena, Javier Heredia, and Lakshmi among others; as well as, New York City based artists Victorio, and Jose Molina, and by participating extensibly in flamenco gatherings.

LINDA RICHARDSON
Teacher
Having received extensive training as a classical musician, Linda developed an affinity for music and a profound love for the arts. She was introduced to Flamenco 10 years ago and has been hooked ever since.
While living in Arizona, Linda was first exposed to Flamenco under the tutelage of Lydia Torea and Julia Chacon. She eventually made her way to Sevilla, Spain and spent several months studying with Juan Polvillo. Upon her return to the States, she continued her studies with such notable artists as: Yolanda Arroyo, Cihtli Ocampo, Lakshmi Basile and Ethan Margolis. She has also taken workshops conducted by distinguished Spanish artists such as: Domingo Ortega, Pastora Galvan and most recently, Saray de los Reyes and Jorge el Canastero.
Described as an earthy dancer, Linda is most attracted to the Flamenco Puro style for its sincerity, intimacy and longevity. Her teaching philosophy is to encourage her students to have fun cultivating their own unique dance style while maintaining a strong, technical base.
